Today I decided to do a full face of makeup!! My day to day makeup at the moment is moisturiser, eyeliner, mascara and sometimes some lipstick and so today I tried to do my own foundation, bronzer, blusher and eyeshadow. I followed a video tutorial and I realised people are sooooooo fast at doing their makeup, like literally I was putting my foundation on the brush and she was doing eyeliner already. I have always seen the facination with makeup, because it is another thing to collect and I like collecting . My goal is to have a draw full of lipstick and every other makeup product you could possibly think of! This was quite a hard task for me as I usually specialize in hair as I have it on my head but I think I am learning! Plus I think for my first attempt it wasn't too bad, but you guy's can be the judge of that I guess!
I did use alot of products, most of them I borrowed and so I can't really judge them myself but I do know if you have a fair complextion and care about animal testing like myself you will love Lush's very own Jackie Oat's Colour Supplement or as I like to call it, foundation. This is a cost effective and eco friendly alternative to Nar's Siberia foundation, although I will be saving up for that! The only other things I could reccomend were the Eco Tool's Fresh & Flawless, five piece complexion set. Now I am unaware if you can still buy this set anymore because I don't see it on their website but I think mine were bought in Boot's. They are travel sized brushes, specifically designed to give a smooth, airbrush finish to your skin and these too are earth friendly (can you tell I am a hippie at heart.) They also have the cutest designs that remind me of 5 little Japanese komono's!
I also tried a red lip with this look ...
I really like this look especially with my Wales top!!
I hope you enjoyed my insight into the weird and wonderful world of makeup and my overall first time makeup experience. ( It was good by the way kinda. ) Just go less heavy on blush or be prepared to give up extra foundation to cover it, best of luck!
